I am thrilled to announce that my debut novel, When We Vanished, has won a 2020 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award!
The Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards are intended to bring increased recognition to exemplary children’s books and their creators, and to support childhood literacy and life-long reading. The Awards recognize and reward the best of these books and bring them to the attention of parents, booksellers, librarians – and to children themselves.
When I received the email announcing the winners, I could hardly believe that WWV was listed among them. But there it was: a silver medalist in the general YA category! It’s truly an honor to be included in such great company with the other award-winning books.
I never would have gotten this far without all of my readers – so, thank you all for your support! It is so very appreciated.
Congratulations, Alanna!! That’s wonderful news 🙂
Thank you, Nathalie! It was such a delightful surprise 🙂
